The Benson family, consisting of John, April, John, and Adelaide, arrived in Newkirk in January of 2021. Since transitioning from the Chicagoland area, they have cherished every moment in their new community. Pastor Benson's hope is firmly rooted in Jesus Christ, recognizing the indispensability of such a perfect Savior.

With a heart driven by sharing the good news of the gospel, Pastor Benson aims to spread hope to others and inspire them to do the same. He actively seeks out mission opportunities, aspiring to be the hands and feet of the Church both locally and globally.

At Newkirk, his desire is to build upon the flame ignited and carried by countless individuals who have come before him. He is committed to being a shining beacon of light for the Lord in Northwest Iowa and beyond, continually radiating His love and truth throughout the world.

Heather is happily married to Tim, and together they are blessed with two beautiful daughters. Her heartfelt desire is to provide encouragement and support to families as they navigate their journey of faith. Heather accomplishes this through her passion for teaching and music, which she utilizes to inspire and uplift those around her. By sharing her talents and insights, Heather strives to strengthen families and help them grow in their relationship with God. Her dedication to this calling shines through her teaching and musical endeavors, making a positive impact on the lives of those she encounters.

As a longtime member of Newkirk Reformed Church, Tammy has been actively involved in the church community. Serving as the Church Secretary since November 1987, She has the privilege of working alongside multiple pastors throughout the years. With four grown children and eight grandchildren residing across the United States, they find joy in traveling to visit their extended family.

Being a member of Newkirk Reformed Church means belonging to a warm and loving church family. Tammy cherishes the close-knit community and the support she receives from her fellow church members.
